What is Delta 8?
Delta-8 tetrahydrocannabinol, or Delta 8 THC, is a psychoactive substance found in the cannabis plant of which marijuana and hemp are two varieties. Hemp derived THC varieties are legal in Minnesota. Delta-8 THC is one of over 100 cannabinoids produced naturally by the cannabis plant, but is not found in significant amounts within a plant. Because of this, concentrated amounts of Delta-8 THC are typically manufactured from hemp-derived CBD. The effect of Delta 8 is described as “half as potent” as Delta 9 THC, but effects can be different for each person.
What is Delta 9 THC?
Delta 9 THC is a psychoactive compound found in both marijuana and hemp. It has a number of potential health benefits including pain relief and improved sleep. It also has the potential to reduce anxiety.
Are there any cannabinoids stronger than Delta 9 THC?
There are many different cannabinoids being discovered and isolated for their potent effects. A popular one in our shop is THC-P. It is much more potent and stronger than Delta 9 THC. THC-P is thirty-three times more active at your cannabinoid receptors than THC resulting in a stronger and longer lasting high for most people. Another cannabinoid, THC-H, is also known to be more active (25x) at your cannabinoid receptors than THC but is not as long lasting as THC-P. THC-B is another that could potentially be stronger. While it works similarly to Delta 9 THC at your cannabinoid receptors, it does a better job of binding to them, resulting in a stronger, longer lasting high.
What is the best way to approach edibles if I’ve never tried them before?
Because the effect of edibles can vary from person to person, we always suggest starting with a dose less than the serving size to see how they work for you. Wait at least 1-2 hours to assess how you feel before ingesting more. If it’s your first time with edibles, it may be best to wait 24 hours before ingesting more.
What is the difference between Delta 9 products and what you would find in Colorado and other legal states?
To put it the simplest way, our products come from hemp and most products you would find in states like Colorado or California come from marijuana. The cannabinoids found in each plant are the exact same compound, the difference is hemp plants cannot contain more than 0.3% THC on a dry weight basis, whereas marijuana plants have a much higher THC content. Meaning, if you were to smoke flower from a hemp plant you would have little to no effect from it compared to smoking flower from a marijuana plant, but thanks to the 2018 Farm bill, it allowed people to extract the psychoactive cannabinoids from the hemp plant in a more concentrated version giving us edibles and drinks with the same effects you would find in legal states!
How is hemp derived THC legal?
In December of 2018, the 2018 Farm Bill was signed into law. It removed hemp, defined as cannabis and derivatives of cannabis with extremely low concentrations of the psychoactive compound delta-9-THC (no more than 0.3 percent THC on a dry weight basis), from the definition of marijuana in the Controlled Substances Act. Clearing the way for hemp derived CBD and THC products to be sold legally. In fact, this was already legal and being sold in Minnesota before July, when most people found out about it. The MN government didn’t actually legalize hemp derived products in July, they simply limited the amount of THC to 5mg per piece and 50mg per container in food and drink products.
Is there a limit on the amount of products I can purchase at one time?
No—while there is a limit on the milligrams per serving (5 mg) and milligrams per package (50 mg) for edibles, there is no limit on the amount you can purchase!
What cannabinoid is best for sleep?
A lot of people know that CBD and THC can help with sleep. CBN is a slightly lesser-known cannabinoid, but may be the best of them all when it comes to sleep. CBN is often compared to CBD and has similar effects to CBD, but while CBD is more of an overall wellness cannabinoid, CBN is known to promote restful sleep and when combined with THC, it can become a sedative. One thing to note: unlike CBD, which is entirely non-psychoactive, CBN in larger doses can produce mild psychoactive reactions.
What about pain?
Similar to the previous question, there are multiple cannabinoids that can help with pain such as CBD, CBG, and THC. CBG is known as “The Mother of Cannabinoids,” because it's the precursor from which all other cannabinoids, such as CBD and THC, are created. It is anti-inflammatory and analgesic. Also known as “the pain cannabinoid,” it has a multitude of benefits, including being antimicrobial and an antioxidant. It also works as a bone stimulant and can help with intraocular pressure. CBG binds with both CB1 and CB2 receptors. CBG is a non-psychoactive cannabinoid, but because CBG can bind to the same receptors as THC, it can also potentially address issues that pertain to the nervous system, such as glaucoma, migraines, muscle soreness.
What about anxiety or stress?
THC, CBD, and CBN have all been shown to help ease anxiety. THC may decrease anxiety at lower doses and increase anxiety at higher doses. CBD has the potential to decrease anxiety at all doses that have been tested. CBN has also been known to help with anxiety. Our store also carries other supplements, such as ashwagandha, an herb clinically shown to help reduce stress, regulate cortisol levels, enhance focus and mental stamina, reduce irritability and stress-related cravings.
What is the difference between Full Spectrum, Broad Spectrum and Isolates?
Full spectrum CBD contains all the components of the plant including THC. Full Spectrum supplements may contain trace amounts of THC (still under 0.3% total THC), as well as other phytocannabinoids. Broad spectrum CBD goes through an additional process where they extract the THC. It should still not be considered fully “THC free.” Hemp Isolate is a purified extract that contains only a single cannabinoid, such as CBD. A hemp isolate is an extraction process that isolates a particular cannabinoid and removes all of the remaining cannabinoids found in the plant, making the extract pure. None of these forms of CBD have the ability to invoke the feeling of being “high” that is activated by THC, when taking a regular dose.
Why is it beneficial to use products with multiple cannabinoids?
It’s called the Entourage Effect! While singular cannabinoids already have plenty of benefits on their own, using products with multiple cannabinoids creates something called the entourage effect. When using a product with multiple cannabinoids, not only will you get the effects/potential benefits from the different cannabinoids, but the different cannabinoids also actually work together to enhance each’s own potential benefits!
Sativa, Hybrid, Indica– What are the differences?
These terms are the classification system used to describe types of cannabis. Each strain of cannabis has its own classification. Sativa strains are described as a “head high” and are uplifting, energetic, and known to enhance creativity. Indica strains are described as a “body high” and are relaxing strains known to aid in pain relief, sleep, and deep relaxation. Hybrids can be a mix of sativa and indica traits depending on their parent strains.
What are terpenes?
Terpenes are naturally occurring chemical compounds that occur in the female cannabis plant. They are the compounds responsible for the aroma, taste, and color of the plant. Terpenes can also be found in essential oils and herbs such as lavender and rosemary. Terpenes are said to relieve pain, inflammation, nausea, anxiety, and more.
Can you ingest too much CBD, CBG, etc.?
Well, yes and no. CBD is non-psychoactive so it will not get you high, but taking too much CBD can cause drowsiness as well as some uncomfortable side effects such as diarrhea. Some studies have shown that you can ingest up to 1,500mg per day and be tolerated by your body just fine, but we certainly wouldn’t recommend introducing yourself to CBD by taking 1,500mg. Cannabinoids react differently for everyone, one person with severe knee pain may take 25mg and be good, another person may need 100mg. The best way to start is with a low dose to assess how you feel, then increase as needed. So, can you take too much CBD? We wouldn’t recommend taking an absurdly high dose, but if you’re wondering, "Can I take another 25 mg gummy because my knee still hurts?” we would answer, “Yes, you most likely can. It’s always safe to check with your doctor about any of our products to determine your safety.”
Do you carry Nicotine/Tobacco products? Or any substitutions?
Yes, we carry nicotine (and some zero nicotine) disposables at both locations.

Do you carry THC drinks?
We do! We have a wide variety of THC seltzers, sodas, lemonades, cannabis mocktails, shots, and drink dosers. We have 5mg and 10mg drink options as well as drink dosers containing 50mg.
Do you need to use CBD regularly for it to work?
There really isn’t a right or wrong way to use CBD and you will still get the benefits from CBD even if just using it occasionally, but like regular exercise and good nutrition, your body responds to consistency, and daily/regular use can help support longer-term conditions. Especially if you’re taking it for symptoms you experience daily - such as chronic pain, frequent anxiety, or trouble sleeping.
